The Norwegian fashion and Jewellery brand Tom Wood needed a identity for their ss17 collection. Jour Nuit (night & day) was the theme, and we designed a collection of narratives to substantiate Tom Woods vision. Our take on the Jour Nuit concept is based on the visual properties of night and day. We found suicide notes, and took sentences that seemingly looked harmless without its context, and used them as the main visual element. As a comment to the fashion industry, using historical images and texts, without caring for its original intent or meaning. We also visioned the buyers to do research, so we left the names of the protagonists, the date of their suicide and place.
