The new Norwegian furniture company Eikund is re-launching Norwegian furniture classics. Bleed have designed the identity, packaging and a custom typeface. Eikunds design concept is Nude, a set of ideas & principles communicating the notion of something pure and natural. To be naked is to trust, and believe in what you present.
The idea of Eikunds identity is the use of a frame to tell their story. They will have four options for displaying content.
The Neo-grotesque Eikund Sans is designed for multiple applications in the Eikund Identity. It has inherited features from the furniture such as the curves from Kaysers ‘Krysset’ and the organic backboard from Afdals chairs with other aesthetic properties. It’s used as the main identity bearer, both as a display type and for longer texts. It's a modern sans-serif with a distinct Scandinavian aesthetic, from afar, contemporary and clean – but at a closer look, oddities and quirks that makes it stand out.
